Architectural engineering is about the development and design of buildings in cooperation with others, taking architecture and the local environment into consideration.

In the programme, you will work with all phases of the development and design of buildings and building systems including planning, structural form finding and design, as well as the functional design and operation of the building.

You will specialise in either Structural Design or Functional Design.

Teaching varies between lectures, classroom instruction, exercises and problem-oriented project work in groups. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

The final 6-12 months you will be making your MSc thesis. The thesis is a scientific research project, often carried out in collaboration with one of university's industrial partners.

Architectural Engineering can be studied as a:

You also have the possibility to take single courses or subjects within the programme.

Graduation from the masters degree programme confers the title Master of Science in Architectural Engineering (MSc).

To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have a bachelor degree in a relevant subject.

In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English is at a specified level.
