Building and Construction
You will gain insight into the construction and maintenance of buildings, services or towns, and you will study e.g. mechanics, energy technology or computer modeling and simulation.
The programme qualifies you to work with planning and construction of buildings or roads. You can specialise in e.g. building structures or soil and water mechanics.

The programme has to do with planning, constructing and maintaining buildings, services and towns.
You will learn to plan and carry out construction projects, for example houses or roads. You will study the economical, technical and social issues that might arise in different kinds of building projects.
Depending on your specialisation, you will study disciplines such as:
- Mechanics
- Material Science
- Energy Technology
- Heat and Mass Transfer
- Hydraulics
- Acoustics
- Computer Modeling and Simulation
- Ventilation and Air Distribution in Buildings
Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

At Aalborg University:
- Indoor Environmental Engineering
In the final 6-12 months you will be writing your MSc thesis.
Building and Construction can be studied as a:
- 2-year MSc degree programme (120 ECTS)
You also have the possibility to take single courses or subjects within the programme.
Graduation from the master's degree programme confers the title Master of Science in Engineering (MSc).
Educational Institutions
You can study Building and Construction at Aalborg University (Aalborg Universitet) and at the Technical University of Denmark (Danmarks Tekniske Universitet). At the Technical University of Denmark, the programme is called Civil Engineering.
Entry Requirements
To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have a bachelor degree in a relevant subject.
In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English is at a specified level.

Tuition
There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students, unless you are a student from a Nordic or EU country, or from Liechtenstein.
Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.

Semester Start
An academic year is made up of two semesters, which begin around September 1 and February 1.
