Communication Design

On the English language Master of Communication Design, you will learn to work with the design of documentation, for example, manuals or user guidelines. You can choose between English, German or Danish as a foreign language. The degree will qualify you to work in both the public and private sector, where you will work with communication, e.g. development and editing of text.

Name: Communication Design

Duration: 2 years

European transfer credits: 120 ECTS

On the Communication Design course, you will work with high-level foreign language communication and design.

Your business language skills will be developed to a high level and you will be given specialized knowledge of document design, user orientated design and user studies in interaction and technology.

In addition, you will be able to contribute to the increase of user-friendly technology with surveys of, and development in, user interaction with new technology.

The programme covers the following fields:

  • Foreign languages (English, German or Danish), where you learn about genres, and written and oral communication.
  • Communication design, which provides a thorough knowledge of document design and user studies of interaction and technology.
  • Methodology, where you are taught the structure of knowledge and methodology with subjects such as terminology and empirical methods.

During the course, it is possible to study at foreign universities and to work with projects in industry.

Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

If you choose to complete the master's degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Master of Communication Design.

Entry Requirements

To be admitted to an MA programme, you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject.

In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English at a specified level.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students, unless you are a student from a Nordic or EU country, or from Liechtenstein.

Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.

An academic year is made up of two semesters, which begin around September 1 and February 1.
