The programme focuses on the creative and constructive engineering work. You will develop new products and systems, for example mobile phones and kitchen appliances, taking the user's specific needs and life style and the technological development into account.

You will learn about production, distribution and service of the products. You will also study the environmental impact, function, usability and aesthetics. And you will get hands-on experience with methods of designing new products and systems.

You will specialise in either Product Design or Design and Innovation Management.

Teaching varies between lectures, classroom instruction, exercises and project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

The final 6-12 months you will be making your MSc thesis. The thesis is a scientific research project, often carried out in collaboration with one of university's industrial partners.

Design and Innovation can be studied as a:

  • 2-year masters degree programme (120 ECTS)

You also have the possibility to take single courses or subjects within the programme.

Graduation from the masters degree programme confers the title Master of Science in Design and Innovation (MSc).

Entry Requirements

To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have a bachelor degree in a relevant subject.

In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English is at a specified level.

Tuition
