You will learn to design and develop secure and well documented software and to use the latest technologies such as modern programming languages, operating systems, networks, distributed computing systems, databases and modeling. The programme also uses methods from the humanities and economics.

You will be studying all phases of the software development process, including analysis, design, development, testing and operationalisation.

You will obtain the qualifications to analyse the need for specific IT solutions, develop and design the solutions, and advise a business or organisation on how to apply the IT solution.

Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

Software Development can be studied as a:

  • 2-year MSc programme (120 ECTS)

You also have the possibility to take single courses or subjects within the programme.

Graduation from the master's degree programme confers the title Master of Science (MSc).

Entry Requirements

To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject. Both IT and non IT oriented bachelor’s degrees qualify.

In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English is at a specified level.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students, unless you are a student from a Nordic or EU country, or from Liechtenstein.

Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.
