Telecommunication
In this programme you will learn to perform research, development, planning, and analysis within a number of areas in telecommunications.
You can concentrate on development of hardware or software for telecommunication systems or for individual components.
You will be able to perform research, development, planning, and analysis within a number of areas in telecommunications.
You can choose to specialise in:
- Optical communication
- Signals and transmission technology
- Protocols and network technologies
- ICT convergence and services
- ICT design, organisations and markets
In the final 6-12 months you will be writing your MSc thesis. The thesis is a scientific research project, often carried out in collaboration with one of the university's industrial partners.
Telecommunication can be studied as a:
- 2-year MSc programme (120 ECTS)
You also have the possibility to take single courses or subjects within the programme.
Graduation from the master's degree programme confers the title Master of Science in Engineering (MSc).

Entry Requirements
To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject.
In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English is at a specified level.

Admission

Tuition
There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students, unless you are a student from a Nordic or EU country, or from Liechtenstein.
Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.

Semester Start
An academic year is made up of two semesters, which begin around September 1 and February 1.
